Future Bi Maintain Lead as Kintehs, Prisons and Jeshwang United Record Key Wins

Future Bi maintained their lead in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s Second Division League after Week 19 action produced important wins for Kintehs, Prisons and Jeshwang United on Sunday.

Prisons secured a narrow 1-0 victory over City Girls in Brikama, with Fatou Jarju scoring the decisive goal to hand her side all three points.

At the Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum, Jeshwang United also registered a 1-0 win over GAF, courtesy of a second-half strike from Isatou Nassa in the 52nd minute.

League leaders Future Bi continued their strong form with a 2-1 win over Darboes FC in Bakau. Ausai Sanneh opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Sainabou Jobe doubled the lead before halftime. Darboes FC reduced the deficit through Jainaba Trawally in the 54th minute, but Future Bi held on to secure victory.

Kintehs stayed in the title race with a 2-1 comeback win over Jung Mama in Brusubi. Jung Mama took the lead through Awa Seydi in the 10th minute, but Kintehs responded through Awa Badjie and Marie Fofana to complete the turnaround.

Rakie and Mansa Wally shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Rakie took the lead through Awa Faal shortly after the restart, but Pat Dampha equalised with a long-range free-kick.

At the Soma Mini Stadium, Sallahs and Lower Niumi also drew 1-1. Mariama Manneh gave Lower Niumi the lead just before halftime, before Kaddy Drammeh restored parity in the 52nd minute.

The results leave Future Bi in a strong position at the top of the table as the season progresses.
