Gambian striker Ali Sowe was on target twice on Sunday as Çaykur Rizespor played out an entertaining 2–2 draw against Beşiktaş in the Turkish Super Lig.
Sowe gave Rizespor a strong start when he opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a composed finish. He doubled his tally in the 31st minute, putting his side 2–0 ahead and in control of the match.
The forward’s early brace highlighted his sharp attacking form and ability to punish defensive lapses, as Rizespor dominated the opening stages.
However, Beşiktaş mounted a second-half comeback to salvage a point from the encounter, denying Rizespor a potential victory.
Despite the draw, Sowe’s performance stood out as one of the key talking points of the match, with the Gambian international continuing his impressive form in front of goal for Rizespor this season.
