MoPS Sets June as Deadline For Verification of Civil Servants and Pensioners

By Lamin B. Darboe
Senior Communication Officer, MoPS

The Ministry of Public Service (MoPS) has announced that it will conduct a final verification exercise for civil servants and pensioners from 1 to 15 June 2026 at the Personnel Management Office in Banjul.

The ministry said the first and second phases of the verification exercise concluded on 11th May 2026.

It assured all affected civil servants and pensioners who were not verified during the previous exercises that their salaries for May 2026 would be paid without interruption.

According to MoPS, the upcoming exercise represents the final opportunity for unverified civil servants and pensioners to complete the process. All concerned individuals are required to present themselves within the stipulated period.

The ministry further warned that failure to complete verification during the final phase may result in the suspension of June 2026 salaries until verification was completed.

MoPS urged all affected staff and pensioners to fully cooperate and ensure compliance within the announced timeframe.
