The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) has oriented a group of Gambian delegates ahead of their participation in international capacity-building seminars in Beijing, China, with Gambia Athletics Association (GAA) executive member Malick Bobb among the selected participants.
The orientation session was held at the Independence Stadium and brought together ministry officials and beneficiaries preparing for training programmes scheduled for 13–26 May 2026 in Beijing.
The delegates will attend two key seminars organised by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO). These include the Seminar on Organising Major Sports Events for Developing Countries and the Seminar on Maintenance and Management of Sports Facilities for Developing Countries.
The initiative aims to strengthen administrative expertise, improve professional capacity, and enhance sports development and facility management across participating countries.
Gambia’s participation is expected to contribute to the development of sports institutions and infrastructure, while also fostering international exchange and cooperation in sports administration.
