Gambian youth international Ebrima Fofana has completed a permanent move to Finnish top-flight side FC Inter Turku, marking a significant step in his professional football career.
Fofana was seen departing from Banjul International Airport as he travelled to Finland to join his new club, with teammates, club officials and friends gathering at the Goal Project to bid him farewell.
The transfer from TMT FC to the Veikkausliiga club represents a major breakthrough for the young player, who earned the move following consistent performances and development at his former side.
TMT FC President Omar H.O Saidykhan, together with members of the club’s board, was present at the airport to see him off. He praised Fofana’s discipline and progress, describing the transfer as a reward for hard work and dedication.
The club reaffirmed its commitment to developing young talent capable of competing internationally, with Fofana’s move cited as an example of its development pathway.
Fofana is expected to begin his career in Turku with hopes of making an impact in the Finnish league, as his transfer is viewed as a milestone for both the player and TMT FC.
