Week 23 produces tight contests, key away wins in Gambia Second Division

Matchday 23 of the Gambia Football Federation Second Division League produced a series of closely contested fixtures and important away victories as teams continue their push for points late in the season.

At the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, Menmar Banjul United and Marimoo Pakfood FC played to a goalless draw, with both sides unable to convert their chances.

Another 0-0 stalemate was recorded in Bakau, where Wallidan FC and RS Tallinding FC shared the points in a balanced encounter marked by solid defensive displays.

AJ Soccer secured a 2-0 away win over Unique Global at Yundum. Momodou Salieu Jallow opened the scoring in the 18th minute, while Saikou Jammeh added a second in the 66th minute.

In Brikama, Wagadu Football Club defeated Gunjur United FC 3-1. Kebba Sidibeh scored twice, while Hamidou Faye added another goal.

At Soma, North Star edged Suwo Kono 1-0, with Salimina Colley netting the decisive goal in the 20th minute.
