The Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) has opened registration for the 2026 Nawettan qualifiers, officially launching preparations for the new community football season in the zone.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, SWESO said the registration period will run from April 22 to May 11, 2026.
According to the organisation, the qualifying round serves as the entry pathway for teams seeking to participate in the main Nawettan competition, one of The Gambia’s most popular grassroots football tournaments.
SWESO stated that each team is required to pay a non-refundable registration form fee of D300, in addition to a qualifiers registration fee of D10,000. It urged all interested clubs to complete the process within the stipulated deadline.
The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and the promotion of grassroots football development in Serrekunda West.
SWESO also called on clubs, supporters, and stakeholders to take active part in the upcoming qualifiers and continue supporting the growth of community football in the zone.
