Gambian striker Lamin Jawo scored the only goal as FK Jablonec defeated Mladá Boleslav on Tuesday to qualify for the final of the Czech Republic Cup.
Jawo struck in the 34th minute from a corner kick, heading the ball against the crossbar before it crossed the line, securing a narrow victory for Jablonec in a tightly contested semi-final match.
Mladá Boleslav pressed for an equaliser but were unable to break through a disciplined Jablonec defence.
The forward was named man of the match for his overall performance, leading the attack and consistently troubling the opposition backline.
The goal takes Jawo’s season tally to 10 goals and three assists in all competitions for Jablonec.
