Essau United Extend Lead as Barra United Impress; 2nd Infantry FC Secure First Win

Matchday six of the NBRFA 2025–26 Third Division League produced victories, draws and strong individual performances across the Western and Eastern Zones on Friday.

In the Western Zone, leaders Essau United maintained their winning momentum with a 1-0 victory over Edinburgh FC at the Essau Football Field. Modou Manneh scored the only goal in the 36th minute, securing all three points and keeping Essau United at the top of the standings.

At the Barra Football Field, Barra United recorded a 3-0 win against Jambarr FC. Pierre Manga scored twice in the 5th and 15th minutes, while Musa Sanyang added a third goal in the 26th minute to complete a dominant performance.

In the Eastern Zone, 2nd Infantry FC earned their first victory of the season after defeating Real de Saaba FC 3-1 at the Farafenni Mini Stadium. Lamin Badjie scored twice in the 9th and 36th minutes, while Modou Lamin Colley added a late goal in stoppage time. Nfamara Sillah scored Real de Saaba’s only goal in the 22nd minute.

At Noo Kunda Football Field, Noo Kunda United and Timeless FC drew 1-1. Timeless FC opened the scoring through Modou Lamin Sanneh in the 24th minute before Saikou Secka equalised in the 78th minute to secure a point for the hosts.
