Anta Ndow delivered an outstanding performance at the GSSSA Athletics Regional Qualifiers 2026 in the Kaur Zone, emerging as a strong contender ahead of the forthcoming Gambia Senior Secondary School Athletic Championship “Bottrop” competition.
Ndow, representing Panchang Senior Secondary School, won the Under-18 girls’ 400 metres final, finishing in first position with an impressive display of speed and endurance.
Competing on Day Two of the qualifiers, she maintained a strong pace throughout the race to outclass her rivals, underlining her growing reputation as one of the most promising young athletes in school athletics.
Her victory secured qualification for the national championship and positions her as a key athlete to watch in the upcoming competition.
