Faraba – Ibrahim Diallo of Gambian Dutch Lions has joined Amadou Camara and Paul Colley at the top of the scoring chart following a 2-2 draw with Real De Banjul.
Diallo, who scored his seventh goal of the season, opened the scoring in the sixth minute, giving the hosts an early lead at the Dimphy’s Memorial Football Complex. Real De Banjul responded quickly through Abdoulie Baldeh, who equalised with a precise finish from the edge of the box.
After halftime, Modou Lamin Darboe put the champions ahead with a solo effort, but the Dutch Lions secured a share of the points when Cherno Jallow converted a cross from Diallo in the 77th minute.
The result underlined Diallo’s growing influence and intensified the contest for the golden boot as the season progresses.
