Senegal quickly extended their lead after the break, with Mbaye finding the net in the 47th minute. Gambia’s Omar Colley pulled one back shortly after, reducing the deficit to 2-1 and briefly raising hopes for the Scorpions.
Senegal sealed the victory with a late strike from Camara in the 90+5’ minute, ensuring a decisive 3-1 outcome.
