The race for the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) presidency is gaining momentum as three candidates officially declare their intention to contest the top position ahead of the August elections.
Kemo Ceesay, Sadibou Kamaso, and Amadou Jaiteh are now the main contenders, each bringing distinct experience and visions for the future of Gambian football.
Kemo Ceesay, a former GFF Finance Director, is considered an early frontrunner. His administrative experience and expertise in financial management are seen as key assets in promoting accountability and sustainability within the federation.
Sadibou Kamaso, who previously contested the GFF presidency, resigned from his role within the federation to focus on his campaign. His prior experience in the electoral process positions him as a strong challenger in the race.
Amadou Jaiteh, Secretary General of BST Galaxy FC, enters the contest with a fresh perspective, emphasizing club-level administration and modern football development. His candidacy appeals to stakeholders seeking innovative approaches to football governance.
With the election approaching, anticipation is building as delegates and football stakeholders prepare to decide who will lead Gambian football into the next chapter.
