The GFF-APS Wallet Men’s Second Division League delivered exciting results on Tuesday, with Baalor Sarr, RS Tallinding FC, Kanifing East FC, and Gambia Armed Forces all securing vital victories. Gunjur United FC held Serrekunda United in a goalless draw during the week 15 opening fixtures.
At the Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum, RS Tallinding defeated North Star 2-0. Captain Modou Lamin Sallah and young forward Foday Sawaneh scored in each half to give the Buffer Zone Boys a comfortable win.
Baalor Sarr maintained their strong form with a 2-0 victory over Serrekunda FC at the Dimphy’s Memorial Football Complex in Fabara Bantang. Ebrima Kujabi scored both goals in the first half. Despite Serrekunda FC being reduced to 10 players in the second half, Baalor Sarr remained disciplined and claimed all three points, moving up to second place with 28 points.
Kanifing East FC inflicted a third consecutive defeat on Wallidan FC with a 3-0 win at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Alhagie Mama Bah opened the scoring in the eighth minute, followed by a penalty converted by Dawda Suso after Ousainou Bah was fouled in the box. Dallas Jatta added a third goal before half-time to seal the victory.
Gambia Armed Forces relied on a 74th-minute penalty from Abdoulie Joof to edge AJ Soccer 1-0 at the Soma Mini Stadium, marking their second successive win.
Gunjur United and Serrekunda United played to a 0-0 draw at the Bakau Mini Stadium.
Week 15 fixtures continue on Wednesday, with Wagadu Football Club hosting Elite United FC at the Box Bar Mini Stadium. Menmar Banjul United will seek redemption after a 6-0 defeat by Elite United when they face SuwoKono FC at the Bakau Mini Stadium. Marimoo Pakfood FC will take on league leaders Colley Stars FC at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, while Unique Global faces Sibanor United at the Ousman Saho Football Field.
