By Kemo Kanyi

Brikama-based Berewuleng FC, defending champions of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s Division One, continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 away victory over Koita FC at the Live Your Dreams Academy in Basori.

Midfielder Abie Marie Sambou opened the scoring in the 37th minute for Berewuleng, but Ramatoulie Drame equalised for Koita shortly before halftime. The visitors regained the lead in the 54th minute through Kaddijatou Drammeh, who converted a well-taken free kick, securing the win for the league leaders.

With three wins from as many matches, Berewuleng FC remain at the top of the standings, closely pursued by Police FC, who have won both of their opening fixtures and will aim to register a third consecutive victory.

At the other end of the table, Brikama United have suffered defeats in both of their opening matches. Fortune FC sit just above them after losing their first three league games.
