Prisons FC secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Darboe’s FC in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s Division Two, showcasing a commanding performance at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.
Awa Colley, Kumba Bah, and Fatou Jarju were on target for Prisons FC, each registering a goal as the visiting side struggled to contain the home team’s attacking play.
In Jarra Soma, Jung Mama FC fell 2-1 to visiting Saller’s FC. Kaddy Sedibeh opened the scoring for Jung Mama FC, but Oumie Camara equalized before Fatoumata Sanneh netted the winner, completing a dramatic comeback for the newly promoted side.
Rakie FC and Lower Niumi FC played out a 1-1 draw in Brusubi. Binta Bah put Lower Niumi ahead, only for Muminatou Barry to level for Rakie.
Meanwhile, City Girls and Kinteh shared a goalless draw at the Kabakel Football Field. In Basori, Future Bi drew 1-1 with Gambia Armed Forces (GAF). Isatou Sanyang gave GAF the lead, but Maimuna Dukureh’s strike ensured the spoils were shared.
