Man Pleads Not Guilty to Alleged Theft of D120,000

Momodou Camara, who was arraigned before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court Presided over by Magistrate I.O. Njie, on Monday, 15th September 2025, was charged with a single count of stealing, contrary to Section 226 of the Criminal Offences Act, 2025 Laws of The Gambia.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused allegedly stole One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Dalasis (D120,000.00) from Muhammed Touray on or about the 20th of June 2025 at Jambajelly Village in the West Coast Region.

Mr. Camara pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court granted him bail in the sum of D120,000, with two Gambian sureties. The matter has been adjourned to 22nd October 2025 for the hearing of Prosecution Witness 1 (PW1).
