The Gambia Immigration Department (GID), in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Service, Administrative Reforms, Policy Coordination and Delivery, informed the general public that a nationwide ID Card Trek commenced on Wednesday, 10th September 2025.
According to the department in a presser, the initiative aims to support civil servants in processing their ID Cards ahead of the nationwide Civil Servant Census scheduled for November 2025.
“All applicants are encouraged to present the required supporting documents to facilitate the swift processing of their ID Cards,” the press statement stated.
However, individuals who might not be able to meet the mobile team, other ID Card Issuing Centres remain operational and continue to provide services to the public with diligence and professionalism.
The GID reaffirms its commitment to efficient service delivery and expresses appreciation to the Government of The Gambia and its relevant Ministries for their support in the launching of this initiative.
