United Stars FC and Future Stars FC have booked their places in the next stage of the ongoing Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) Nawettan qualifiers, following hard-fought victories on Wednesday.
In the afternoon fixture, United Stars edged Miami City of Kunkujang Keitaya with a narrow 1-0 win. The decisive goal came in the 34th minute and proved enough to see United Stars through in a tightly contested match.
Later in the evening, Future Stars FC advanced to the third round of the eliminations after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Prince FC. The match ended goalless in regulation time, with neither side able to find a breakthrough.
In the ensuing shootout, Future Stars held their nerve to seal a 5-4 win on penalties, eliminating a resilient Prince FC side.
