Penyem Stars, Elephant Tree FC, Medina United, and Power Station FC have all secured qualification to the next stage of the Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) Summer Nawettan following strong performances in the ongoing elimination rounds.
Penyem Stars edged past Fankaliya FC of Jambur with a narrow 1-0 victory, thanks to a decisive goal from Ebrima Jatta.
Elephant Tree FC delivered one of the most commanding displays of the round, coming from behind to defeat TNS 4-1. TNS had taken an early lead through Abubacarr Saidykhan, but Samuel Mendy levelled the score before Lawrence Mendy netted a hat-trick to seal an emphatic win.
Medina United also advanced after a hard-fought 1-0 win, with veteran Sainey Gitteh scoring the lone goal in the 74th minute to secure their place in the next phase.
In another closely contested fixture, Power Station FC booked their ticket to the next round following a brilliant long-range strike from Baburama Jarjou, which proved enough to defeat Future Stars FC.
The ongoing qualifiers continue to produce competitive football and thrilling moments as teams battle for a place in this year’s BSC Summer Nawettan proper.
