The Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation’s Appeal and Disciplinary Committee has taken decisive action against Eastern Lions FC for fielding ineligible players in a match against Team Dinamo FC.
The committee acknowledged receipt of an appeal letter dated 19th and 20th July 2025 from Team Dinamo FC, contesting the eligibility of Eastern Lions players Kebba Krubally and Kasim Bah.
Kebba Krubally was alleged to have played for Eastern Lions while being a player of Casa Utd, whose team was relegated last season.
After conducting an investigation and reviewing the match forms of Casa Utd, the Appeal Committee concluded that Kebba Krubally did not play any game last season with Casa Utd and therefore found that the appeal against Eastern Lions on this point was not genuine or valid.
However, the committee’s findings confirmed that Kasim Bah, who was alleged to have played with Run Mango DK in the Serrekunda West Zone qualifiers on Tuesday, 15th July 2025, is indeed a registered and active player of Run Mango DK in the Serrekunda West Zone. This is not acceptable under the SESDO regulations.
The committee’s verdict concluded that the appeal against Eastern Lions regarding Kasim Bah was genuine and valid.
“Please note that the three points of Eastern Lions are forfeited and awarded to Team Dinamo FC. Therefore, Team Dinamo proceeds to the next stage of the SESDO 2025 Qualifying Round fixture,” the committee ruled.
