The Gambia Ports Authority FC needs just one more win in their next Gambia Football Federation Division Two League match to be crowned champions if second-place Medina United fail to register a win in the same week.
The Ferry Boys currently sit three points clear at the top, with a superior goal difference of 12 ahead of Medina United.
GPA FC recently played to a 2-2 draw against Wagadu FC, while Medina United were held to a goalless draw by Wallifan United in their week 32 fixtures. GPA FC now have 61 points, while Medina United are on 58 points.
With this lead, GPA have already secured promotion to the First Division next season. Meanwhile, league debutants Medina United need just a point or two more to guarantee their own First Division spot.
Samger FC, Elite United, Colley Stars FC, RS Tallinding FC, and Wallidan FC are all still fighting for places in the play-offs for Division One qualification.
Samger FC have 53 points, while Elite United, Colley Stars and RS Tallinding each sit on 51 points. Wallidan FC follow with 48 points.
At the lower end of the table, Kanifing East FC and Latrikunda United FC are battling to avoid relegation as the season approaches its conclusion.
Waa Banjul FC and Essau United have already been relegated, with two games left to play.
