The President of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Mr. Lamin Kaba Bajo, on Wednesday received Mr. Amadou Manneh, who presented a brand-new electronic referees changing board to the Federation.
President Bajo expressed his gratitude to Mr. Manneh for his generous donation, describing it as timely and a significant benefit for the Federation, according to the GFF.
Mr. Manneh, for his part, stated that the donation is part of his responsibility as a citizen and former footballer, emphasizing his desire to contribute to the development of football. He also thanked President Bajo for the opportunity extended to him.
Accompanying Mr. Manneh to Football House was the President of the Serekunda East Sports Development Organisation, Momodou Yusupha Cham, who described Mr. Manneh as a philanthropist who has contributed immensely to various development projects undertaken by his executive.
The brief ceremony was also attended by the GFF Referees Manager, Mr. Seedy Manneh; Acting Competitions Director, Mr. Modou Jagne; and Mr. Ousman Ceesay, Team Manager of ASM Atletic.
Universal Sporting Boys March into KMRFA 3rd Division League Final
Universal Sporting Boys have secured their place in the 2024/25 KMRFA 3rd Division League Final following a thrilling 3-1 victory over BK West United this evening at the Brusubi Football Field.
USB asserted early dominance with two goals in the first half, controlling the pace of the game. BK West United responded in the second half, pulling one goal back to make the contest intense. However, USB held their nerve, and a last-minute strike sealed the win, confirming their spot in this year’s final.
They now await the winner of the highly anticipated Tallinding derby between ASM Athletic and Football Hero FC to know their final opponent.
