Real De Banjul Football Club has claimed its third consecutive Gambia Football Federation Men’s Division One League trophy following a 2-2 draw against Fortune FC at home.
This victory marks the capital city club’s 15th league title overall. Following the triumph, the club convened a meeting to discuss key arrangements, including preparations for the upcoming Confederation of African Football (CAF) Club Championship.
“After securing the 15th league title with two games to spare and making it an unprecedented three successive years of domestic league success, the club’s board and first team staff held a meeting at the City Boys’ headquarters. The agenda included a review of the past two league fixtures and the commencement of preparations for the CAF Club Championship,” the club’s official statement said.
The meeting also addressed the remaining two league fixtures, which include the City Boys’ formal title coronation and the FA Cup semi-final scheduled for Tuesday.
The club expressed gratitude to all who sent congratulations, especially its passionate supporters, and assured that it remains committed to working harder to continue bringing joy to its fans.
