Hadigala College Graduates 289 Nurses

Hadigala Nursing College has graduated 289 nurses at its second graduation ceremony held over the weekend at the Paradise Suites Hotel.

A total of 232 Community Health Nurses (CHNs) and 57 Registered Nurses (RNs) received their certificates during the ceremony.

Addressing the graduating class, Dr. Haji Drammeh, founder and president of Hadigala College, described the institution as a beacon of excellence in higher education in The Gambia. He said the college was committed to nurturing skilled professionals who would help transform the country’s healthcare sector and beyond.

Dr. Drammeh highlights that the college empowers students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them to meet the evolving challenges of modern healthcare systems. He stressed that Hadigala was more than a school it was a symbol of hope, excellence, and impact.

He added that the college was established to provide quality, relevant, affordable, and inclusive education and training within The Gambia and the subregion.

“Hadigala College has made significant strides in healthcare education. Our vision is focused on producing healthcare professionals who are not only competent but also deeply committed to serving their communities. These efforts have earned national and international recognition, reflecting the institution’s growing reputation,” he said.

Dr. Drammeh urged the graduates to serve with humility and dignity, reminding them that patients depend on their care for healing.

Also speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Adama Drammeh, Permanent Secretary at the Office of the President, challenged the graduates to serve the nation with dedication and sacrifice, stressing that their service is vital to maintaining and improving the country’s healthcare system.
