Newly promoted English League One side Bradford City AFC has announced the signing of Gambian international Ibou Touray on a two-year deal, following the expiry of his contract with Stockport County.
The left wing-back joins the Bantams after reaching the Sky Bet League One Play-Offs with Stockport last season, where they fell short in the semi-final against Leyton Orient. He brings valuable third-tier experience to the City squad.
Touray, who boasts 23 international caps with The Gambia, played a key role in Stockport’s League Two title-winning campaign and made 88 appearances for the club across all competitions.
“I am delighted to be here, and I am excited to get going. Working with Graham Alexander before, he was a real pull for me joining the club,” the Gambian defender said.
City manager Graham Alexander praised Touray’s professionalism and versatility.
“Signing Ibou adds another top performer to the squad. His consistent mindset and approach will be a great asset for us. He can defend and attack with quality, so I am certain he will be a great success for us over the coming seasons,” Alexander said.
