In line with its objective to secure the future of the club by renewing key players, Barcelona are set to extend the contract of Gambian winger Alieu Drammeh, 15, who will sign his first professional deal with the club.
Drammeh, a right winger who turns 16 on 18 August, has reached an agreement with the club and his agents to remain at Barcelona for the next three seasons.
Since joining La Masia from Mataro’s Infantil B team, Drammeh has scored 31 goals and has proven to be a difficult player to defend thanks to his athletic ability.
According to Barcelona News, Drammeh has made a strong impression at the club, performing for Infantil A and both Cadete teams over his three seasons in the youth system.
This season, he played for Barcelona’s Cadete A team and enjoyed a very productive campaign, scoring 12 goals. The Gambian has become a key player in Cesc Bosch’s side.
With eleven league goals, Drammeh became the top scorer for Cadete A, ahead of Iu Martinez (9 goals) and Isma Ziani (8 goals).
