NPP is a Party of Inclusion – Sabally

The Deputy Campaign Manager of NPP, Momodou Sabally, has described the ruling party as a party of inclusion which is united and well-coordinated, saying NPP militants work together effectively to attain its goals.

The Special Presidential Adviser was making a statement at the NPP’s head office in Sere-Kunda as the party welcomed the defection of Binta Darboe, a prominent and influential UDP supporter, who formalized her move to the ruling party on Tuesday evening.

Sabally says there is no division within the NPP because all its militants and sympathizers believe and put their trust in only President Adama Barrow as the ultimate leader of the party, alleging that divisive political rhetoric is manifested in the UDP with different camps of leadership trust and backing.

“What the President told us was very clear; promoting development agenda, maintenance of peace and prosperity, preservation of unity within the party, and we would not allow anyone to distract us from that cause,” he reiterated. “We are not promoting divisive political rhetoric as UDP is having: Talib Bensouda Camp, Baba Camp, or someone else’s camp. We don’t know that because we only believe in the President. We know of one leader who is the most peaceful president and highly sensitive to the needs of Gambians.”

He attributed Binta Darboe as the supporter of truthfulness as she did not shy away from speaking the truth irrespective of who is involved.

For her part, Binta Darboe, said her decision to join the NPP stemmed from her love for the country, stating that the President was delivering onto the expectations of Gambians. Therefore, she says, she has no reason to go against the development initiatives of Barrow administration
