Gambia Ferry Services Clarifies

By: Isatou Sarr

The Gambia Ferry Services Company said it’s setting the record straight, regarding the recent misinformation circulating about the company’s operations.

“We unequivocally reject the false claims that the management has advised truck drivers and vehicle owners to use the Senegambia Bridge due to supposed problems with the Ferry Kunta Kinteh. This information is intentionally misleading and attempts to create unnecessary discord between ferry users and management,” the company said.

“We want to make it clear: the Kunta Kinteh Ferry has been fully operational on the Banjul/Barra route, completing an average of 9 trips per day. Our commitment to serving our customers remains steadfast, even amid the increased traffic associated with the annual Muslim pilgrimage,” it elucidated.
