Babun Fatty FC defeated Erejang FC in the ongoing Wave-Sponsored knockout round of 16 in the Serekunda West Sports Development Association’s summer Nawattan on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
Andre Prerrira broke the deadlock for Babun Fatty in 62 minutes, giving a joyous celebration to his side.
Erejang FC crafted some meaningful goalscoring opportunities but could not decide on any.
Abdoulie Badjie, head coach of Babun Fatty, said that it was a tough game similar to their first-round match.
“As usual, we always meet with difficult opponents and Erejang is a big team we once had a history with them a year ago, which they won, but finally we defeated them too,” he stated in a post-match interaction with The Voice.
He added that lack of composure was affecting them during the first half as his boys were in a haste to score without relaxing.
He urged his boys to continue working hard because it will be tougher as the game proceeds.
