Anfield FC defeated Future Star in the ongoing Wave-Sponsored round of 16 of Serekunda West Sports Development Association summer Nawattan on Saturday, October 9, 2024.
Saihou Colley gave Anfield the lead in the 17 minutes, and this was enough for a successful sailing to the quarter-final stage.
Future Star did all they could to get an equaliser, but a very resolute Anfield side stayed on their toes firmly throughout the entire regulation.
Kuwame Robinson, head coach for Anfield FC, expressed his satisfaction with his boys’ performance and encouraged them to continue working hard to maintain the winning spirit.
“We will prepare to win our next game too. We trained hard, and that’s what has been manifested, but we respect every opponent we faced,” he stated in a post-match interview.
