BK Milan suffered their first defeat of the season while Elite United closed the gap to within two points as week eleven of division two got underway.
Goals from Omar John and Julaba Sawaneh in the 35th and 67th minutes respectively were enough to condemn the Bakau-based team despite an an-own goal by GPA’s Moses Jarju in the 55th minute.
The win sent the Ferry Boys to sixth position with 17 points, while BK Milan remained top with 22, two more than TMT and BST Galaxy, who both have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Alagie Bah’s stunning free-kick two minutes from time gave Elite United maximum points against Bombada at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Yundum. Elite claimed fourth with 20 points, while Bombada remained in 11th position.
