Veronica Aisha Malack, GFF Assistant Women’s Coordinator has hailed the organisers of the unique friendship between the GFF women’s best players in both the 1st and 2nd division leagues.

She noted that such a match has never been organized during their days as players in the GFF division leagues.

Miss Malack was speaking in an interview during a friendly game between GFF Women’s best eleven in the 1st division league and best eleven in the 2nd division league played at the Serrekunda East Park last week Monday.

The game was organized by Gam Women’s Football Fans and Scorpions TV.

“Such a game has never been organized during our time as players in the division league. Having such a game with the park full to its capacity is a big encouragement and achievement in the development of women’s football in the country,” Veronic Aisha Malack further said.

According to her, the encounter was unique in the advancement of women’s football in The Gambia adding that a lot is in the pipeline which is geared towards the development of women’s football.
