Wallidan wins, Gamtel & Brikama Utd loss in GFF 1st Division League week-29 fixtures

Wallidan FC have recorded a win, while Gamtel and Brikama United got defeated during their of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League week-29 fixtures played across different venues.

Wallidan FC defeated Gamatel FC 1-0 during the late encounter played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Wednesday.

The Blue Boys now recorded their eleventh victory of the season, while the Telecom Giants suffered their fourteenth defeat of the league.

The latest victory put Wallidan FC on 4th position with 43 points, while Gamtel FC, who continue with their struggle, dropped to the relegation zone at 14th position with 31 points after 29 games.

Elsewhere, Brikama United were defeated 1-0 by Steve Biko during a game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini-stadium on Wednesday.

The Sateba Boys, Brikama United now suffered their ninth loss of the league, while the Beach Boys, Steve Biko collected their twelfth win of the competition.

The win maintained Steve Biko at 3 position with 46 points, while the defeat dropped Brikama United to 6 position with 38 points, leveling with Waa Banjul.

Meanwhile, the earlier games on Tuesday have seen all the three encounters result in one all draw.

Banjul United drew 1-1 with Samger FC during a game played at the KG5 Mini-Stadium.

This result has now leveled both teams on twelfth draw for both the Banjul-based team and the Academy Boys, Samger FC.

The result also levels both teams on 33 points each, with Banjul United sitting at 12th position, while Samger occupied 13th position after 29 matches each.

Falcons FC also played a 1-1 draw against Marimoo FC during the earlier game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The Blue Army Falcons now recorded their eleventh draw of the league, while the Manjai-based team, Marimoo FC now registered their thirteenth draw of the tournament.

The draw put Falcons FC at 10th position with 35 points, while Marimoo FC dropped to 8th position with 37 points after 29 matches.

Team Rhino FC also played a 1-1 draw against Waa Banjul during a late game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The Wellingara-based team, Rhino, now earned their fifteenth draw of the league, while the Banjul-based team collected their seventeenth draw of the competition.

The result put Team Rhino at 5th position with 39 points, while Waa Banjul occupied 7th position with 38 points, leveling with Brikama United.
