PSV Wellingara has extended their lead at the top of the standings, while Red Hawks FC continued their winning form during their week-23 fixtures of the Gambia Football federation (GFF) 2nd Division League during games played last Thursday.
The Wellingara-based team, PSV has extended their lead at the top of the table after defeating Waterside FC 2-0 during their week-23 fixture played at the Late Ousman Saho Field.
PSV now recorded their fourteen victories of the season, more than any other side, while Waterside FC suffered their thirteen defeat of the season, more than any other team.
PSV Wellingara overall collected 14 victories, 3 draws and 6 losses after 23 games, while Waterside overall registered 4 wins, 6 draws and 13 defeats after 23 matches.
The victory extended PSV Wellingara lead at the top of the table with 45 points, while the loss maintained Waterside FC at the rock bottom (18th) position with 18 points.
Elsewhere, Red Hawks FC has continued with their winning formula after defeating Wagadu 1-0 during a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The Banjul-based team, Red Hawks FC recorded their seventh win of the season, while the Upper River Region-based team, Wagadu suffered their eventh defeat of the season.
Red Hawks FC overall collected 7 victories, 5 draws and 11 defeats after 23 games, while Wagadu overall earned 5 wins, 7 draws and 11 losses after 23 matches.
The triumph moved Red Hawks FC to 13th position with 26 points, while Wagadu overall occupied 16th position with 22 points.
Dibba Oil defeated B4U Kiang West 2-1 during a game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium.
The Lower River Region-based Dibba Oil recorded ninth win of the league, while the Kiangker, B4U suffered their eighth defeat of the season.
Dibba Oil overall registered 9 wins, 4 draws and 10 defeats after 23 matches, while B4U Kiang West overall recorded 10 wins, 5 draws and 8 defeats after 23 games.
The win sent Dibba Oil to 11th position with 31 points, while B4U Kiang West sit 7th position with 35 points, leveling with Immigration and Kanfing East.
Greater Tomorrow drew 1-1 with Jam City during a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori.
Both the Brikama-based team, Greater Tomorrow and the Jambanjelly-based team Jam City recorded their fourth draw of the league.
Greater Tomorrow overall collected 11 wins, 4 draws and 8 defeats after 23 matches, while Jam City overall registered 5 wins, 4 draws and 14 defeats after 23 encounters.
The result put Greater Tomorrow in 4th position with 37 points, while Jam City occupied 17th position with 19 points.
