Electorates should Vote Wisely on 4th December – Hon Sallah

Honorable Halifa Sallah, leader of the People’s Democratic Organisation for Independent and Socialism (PDOIS) who is standing as the party flag-bearer in the next presidential election has called on the teeming Gambian electorates to vote wisely come 4th December, 2021, as Gambian people have the opportunity to bring in a leadership that will end hardship and suffering in the country or bring someone who will change the lot of the Gambian people.

Honorable Sallah said in campaign held at Kombo Lamin where he addressed large crowd of supporters and well-wishers of the PDOIS ahead of the December 4, Presidential election.

PDOIS Leader one of the contestants in upcoming election earlier disclosed after presenting his nomination to IEC that this will be his last bid for presidency, promising that once elected into office, PDOIS will roll out its transformative agenda that vows to change the system in which Gambian government is been run.

Speaking at the campaign, Honorable Halifa Sallah, disclosed that December 4, Presidential election is yet another opportunity for Gambians to choose the type of leadership they wish to govern the country, adding that if the electorates failed to use the opportunity wisely they should only blame themselves for any bad leadership that surfaces tomorrow.

He observed that politicians rolling out gift to entice electorates are only doing so for personal gains but not for the interests of the electorates, arguing that Gambians should vote for politicians who are ready to change the sufferings and hardship that grapples citizenry.

According to him, PDOIS is ready and prepared to transform the lots of the country when given the power, adding that the party’s transformative agenda will bring in a system that will address the sufferings of the Gambian people and create avenues that can enhance growth and development in the country.

The Veteran Politician promised that PDOIS government will establish a cooperative bank where Gambians can have access to funding to establish or expand on their businesses. And these funds will be given out interest free to the beneficiaries who secure funding from the cooperative bank.

He said the cooperative bank will serve as a window of opportunity for farmers, skilled personnel and businessmen to acquire loans for their projects they intend to engage. More so village treasuries will also be established purposely to strengthen the development programs and projects of villages in the country.

He observed that most villages are lacking behind because of lack of village treasuries and the inability of the area councils to deliver the needed development initiatives, Adding that, PDOIS government will create budget lines that will avail villages to carry out their projects and programs without been entirely dependent on the area councils and the central government.

The contesting Honorable Sallah who doubles as the sitting member of Parliament for Serrakunda Central Constituency renewed his call on Gambian to vote wisely on 4th December, disclosing that it’s an opportunity that will determine whether Gambians want to live in peace and progress or to continue living in poverty and backwardness.

PDOIS Leader also called on the youths not to allow to be left behind and to vote wisely in the December election, saying if youths failed to vote and determine the future of the country they have no rights to complain for any hardship that may grappled the country in the future.
