The Voice Gambia, publisher of The Voice Newspaper over the weekend held its first anniversary and end of year dinner.
The anniversary called The Voice Staff Reunion Forum held at the Tropical Garden Hotel, Bakau marked the first celebration of the newspaper since its establishment in 2008 and it brought together staff and family of The Voice newspaper.
Mr. Musa Sheriff, Manager of The Voice Newspaper said, this is the first of its kind since the establishment of the newspaper to have a staff reunion party.
He therefore expressed gratitude to God and as well applauded the member of staff of the newspaper for their loyalty and hard work.
“I agreed that The Voice is not a Newspaper were one can say I will make money and become rich but the newspaper is like a learning center that many reporters have passed through. I hope and prayed to Allah to strengthen this union and bond that we shared.“
Speaking on behalf of her co-reporters, Nyima Sillah, welcomed her colleagues and other invitees to the staff reunion dinner
She said the staff reunion dinner wouldn’t have possible without the immense support of the management who had done tremendously for successful celebration
“We thank the entire management for their relentless efforts and our able Boss Musa Sheriff who is the backbone of this joyous occasion. More so, we thanked him for being a great leader throughout these years. “
She pointed out that the year 2020 was a challenging year for all organisations, much especially media houses which The Voice newspaper isn’t an exception.
“As we started 2021, we pray to God to make it a year of success and prosperity for all,” she prayed.
However, she said the event marked another significant milestone for The Voice Newspaper because it symbolizes peace, unity, and love among the staff
“These words are key pillars in every working organisation because when there is peace, love and unity, there will be development,” she said.
