Muslim Hands Gambia distributes Food and Sanitary materials to Community of Giboro Kuta

Muslim Hands The Gambia as part of their response to COVID 19 has distributed bags of rice, Sugar , Onions , Milk and Sanitary Materials to the Community of Giboro Kuta in the West Coast Region.

Speaking at the event the Village Alkalo of Giboro Kuta Sheriffo Jatta stated that this is not the first time Muslim Hands has been supporting his village noting every Ramadan and Tobaski the always support the needy in his village adding Muslim Hands has transform the village and has dig wells for the community to have safe clean drinking water ,and also build a mosque for them which is about to be completed.

He pointed out that with the COVID 19 these support to the community will greatly help the families.

Sarane Hydara chief executive officer of Muslims Hands The Gambia noted that the support of Giboro Kuta is gear towards supporting the needy community in the Gambia noting that Muslim hands is able to assist communities in the Gambia through the support from their partners in Turkey , England , France and south Africa

He said Muslim Hands Gambia support for the community of Giboro Kuta and its environ is to provide food package for one hundred people with the community.

He call on the community to follow the Ministry of Health advice and the WHO guideline on COVID 19 inorder to protect themselves from the virus and their families.
Mr Hydara urged the communities to always keep social distance and wash their hands with soap and water.

He thanked their partners for the support the rendered to the Gambian communities at all times.
Lamin Sanneh Governor of West Coast Region in his remarks at the occasion thanked Muslm Hands The Gambia for the support they has been rendering to Giboro Kuta over the years and the Gambian communities atlarge.

He pointed out that since 1993 Musliim Hands Gambia has been supporting the needy in all forms by digging wells, building Mosque and supporting communities during Muslim festivities
He noted that the organization has been complimenting the government efforts in the fight against COVID 19
He equally thanked the partners of Muslim Hands for their support towards the Gambian
people

He said COVID 19 is real and call on people to adhered to the Ministry of Health regulation
Chief Bakary Sanyang of Kombo East commended Muslim hands and their partners for their intervention in his district

Massey Jarjue a beneficiary thanked muslim Hands for the support noting that this would really help her to upkeep the family in the holy month of ramadan

Edirrisa Darbo also a resident of Giboro medina thanked the donors for the good gesture
Modou M. Jatta of Giboro kuta said the donation of the food package and sanitary materials is timely because people are in need of this especially at this time of Covid 19
Oumie Jallow and Isatou Ceesay all express similar sentiments
