Konteh Kunda Sukoto Development Association, Upper Badibou, on Tuesday gave 41 hand washing buckets to Conteh Kunda Sukore community to help them fight against the pandemic as people hygiene are concern.
Lang Konteh, village head of Bambali, welcomed the support saying it would help to improve health status in the community.
He commended them for their foresight, adding that “the community are committed, as they will ensure that every compound and mosque benefit from the gesture.”
Chief Ebrima Ansu Tamba Jammeh of Upper Badibou said the support to the community would help to encourage people to promote hand washing and hygiene taking into consideration the WHO guidelines.
“COVID 19 is real and the only way to control the spread is to wash our hands regularly and avoid social gathering, and among other things maintain social distance,” he said.
He called on people to exercise the WHO and Ministry of Health guidelines and standards because with that he said they will be able to control the spread and contracting the pandemic in the community.
Lang Konteh, former Ward Councillor in the area said the materials would go a long way in strengthening health care of the people.
