Gov’t announces visa free zone for charter, scheduled flights

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad has declared and informed all diplomatic missions and international organizations in Banjul that The Gambia is now a “visa free zone for all charter and scheduled flights.”

According to statement issued by the ministry, this development came  as a result of the new visa free policy adopted by The Gambia’s Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

It said that the new visa free policy applies to citizens from all Commonwealth, European Union (EU), African countries, and Baltic States, while Belgian citizens are allowed to travel to The Gambia with their identity cards.

The ministry pointed out that “visa upon arrival attracts no charges.”
