PDOIS Sets for Changes Ahead of 2021 Presidential Election

People’s Democratic Organization for Independent and Socialism (PDOIS) has set for changes ahead of 2021 President election as Hon. Halifa Sallah, PDOIS secretary general affirmed that the new PDOIS is now different with how it was operating in the past 33 years ago as well revealed new development in political party.

The Gambian sociologist was speaking to large number of PDOIS members in Basse during the party’s Women and Youth congress where he said: “The party has introduced a progrmme aims to enlighten the entire members on issues of the party as well train them how to become good leaders.”

He added that PDOIS would give a platform to all women in the party to reveal the challenges affecting their wellbeing to ensure they are help to mitigate their challenges as he said no person deserve to suffer in live.

The PDOIS secretary general unveiled that his party would have a political bureau to each region among the seven administrative regions, adding each of the regional bureaus would have staffs that works  daily and report back to the main office.

“Every region will form what zap group to ease the flow of information among the members of the party,” he said.

Hon. Sallah announced that by September 13 his party would commence inaugurating its regional bureaus across the country to ensure smooth coordination of the party’s activities in the West African tiny nation.

The sociologist further told his supporters that the political party would provide a car for the central committee to ease their travelling from one regional bureau to anther to help in monitoring the services of the regional coordinator, adding every bureau would be budgeted from the party’s coffers so as execute their political activities.

He promised that PDOIS would open an account that aims to assist the family of people who had struggled for the party over the years and eventually passed away during the course of the struggle.

“Artist would be given the opportunity to write, draw and sing poetry so as to inform the public,” he assured.

The Gambian sociologist stated that his party is not giving out money to people but it’s contributing immensely on national development such as settling land dispute among people as well as educating and sensitizing the masses to understand issues.

He called on both youth and women to work unanimously so as to develop the political party as well as the nation as a whole.

Foday Sisawo,said PDOIS had educated and enlighten Gambians to understand issues, adding that “now we want to take action so as to win the 2021 presidential election.”

Tamsir Humma, young politician called on PDOIS officials to train its young members in every constituency to become influential leaders as well understand the political arena, adding that when that happens the train youth would spread the knowledge to all PDOIS members.

Adama Ceesay, PDOIS member from the Sami constituency urged the youth to seek for knowledge to ensure they replace the party’s senior political leaders when the time arises.
