All vehicles parked along highways must be removed- IGP

The Office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) is hereby informing the general public that all vehicles parked along the sides of the highways must be removed by owners with immediate effect.

Vehicles parked along the Airport to Brufut Turntable going to Traffic Light, Kairaba Avenue towards Sting Conner Bakau (Bertil Harding Highway) as well as those along the sides of the road from Banjul to Tabokoto must be removed on or before Monday the 22nd October 2018.

The General public is hereby further informed that starting Monday 22nd of October 2018 the police will embark on an operation to clear the highways using its towing vehicle to remove all vehicles parked along the highways. Vehicle owners who failed to remove their vehicles will attract fines to regain their vehicles.

The Inspector General of Police urges all individuals to comply in clearing the roads of all obstacles to ease congestion and allow flow of traffic.
